Rutger Hauer Dies at 75: Remembering the Star of Warlock and Blade Runner
You’ve probably seen him in films like Blade Runner and Warlock. The actor passed away on July 19, 2019, but his family only announced the news today, July 24.
Rutger was only 75 years old and according to the press, his funeral was held today. Born in the Netherlands, Rutger started working when he was still a teenager and got his first major role in Turkish Delight (1973).
He later moved to the United States, where he appeared in several successful films in the 1980s. Among them, Warlock (1982), Warlock (1985) and The Legend of the Holy Drunkard (1988).
The Dutch actor leaves behind two children. The cause of his death has not yet been disclosed.
