Swedish actor Max Von Sydow has died at the age of 90. With an award-winning career, he received two Oscar nominations in a career that spanned decades. His name became known when he acted under the direction of Ingmar Bergman in more than 11 films, with titles such as The Seventh Seal and The Emigrants.
But Max also acted in timeless works such as The Exorcist and Star Wars and more recently in the series Games of Thrones. He was born in Sweden on April 10, 1929, and met Bergman in 1955 at a drama school. The two worked together before making the series of films that would make them immortal. In Hollywood, Sydow played Jesus Christ in the epic The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), The Demon Murder Case (1983) and Hannah and Her Sisters (1982). The actor passed away on March 8, 2020.
